Common austenitic pump body grades
304/304L (CF8/CF3): The most basic corrosion-resistant grade, suitable for general industrial water and slightly corrosive chemical media.
316/316L (CF8M/CF3M): Standard configuration for industrial pumps. Due to the addition of 2% -3% molybdenum (Mo), its resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion is much stronger than that of 304, making it the preferred material for most chemical pumps.
317L (CG8M): With higher molybdenum content and better corrosion resistance than 316L, it is commonly used in more harsh acidic environments.
904L (CN7M): "Super Austenitic" Stainless Steel. Containing high nickel, high molybdenum, and copper, it exhibits excellent performance in reducing acids such as sulfuric acid and phosphoric acid.
